Los Angeles-based aquarium livestock wholesaler Sea Dwelling Creatures (SDC) has announced a large expansion of their wholesale WYSIWYG section called “The Furnace”.  The new expansion is being informally called “The Frag Furnace”.

SDC’s Eric Cohen explains. “Although we have had over 600 coral images to choose from every week, now we have expanded that into over 1500 more frags of cultured corals with great photos and very high quality corals.  We are now helping the retailers compete with the top coral farmers across the country. Retailers can order all their frags via the WYSIWYG section. The response has been overwhelming.”

In order to view “The Furnace”, wholesale customers need to log into the Sea Dwelling Creatures website, and shop through an online shopping cart which is not only a “live”  inventory, but will show two sized photos of each item, and be removed from inventory once the order is placed to reserve the item immediately.  Cohen remarks that as a result of this real time inventory and ordering process, “our fill rates are unsurpassed in the industry.”

Cohen went on to emphasize that “SDC is excited to be supporting cultured corals and helping retailers compete with the best of the best in this field.”

The general public can view examples of SDC’s expanded WYSYWIG whoelsale offerings through Flicker; here are some example galleries:
