SKUNKED!
Seduced by the lovely Phalerebus anemonefishes

by Scott W. Michael

An obscure footnote to zoological history tells us that a certain colonial British swashbuckler, Lt. Claude Augustus Champion De Crespigny (1829–1884), went to the island of Borneo on a wooden sailing ship to battle Malay pirates, quell the local Dyak headhunters, and search for a long-lost tribe of fair-haired, blue-eyed natives living in the rainforest. Instead, he came back with an often-cited account of netting small, pretty fishes that tended to be found near large sea anemones.
